Tooth Replacements

Dental Implants

Dental Implants can provide an ideal long-term solution to missing teeth. Implants are man-made titanium fixtures that function similar to a tooth root. They are placed into the jawbone and provide a secure anchor for replacement teeth without putting forces onto the remaining natural teeth, as with a conventional partial denture or bridge. Implant-supported prostheses look and feel like your own natural teeth and may be used to replace a single missing tooth or a complete set of teeth or as anchorage under complete dentures.

Bridges

Designed to replace a lost tooth, fixed bridges provide a natural looking, non-removable replacement. Fixed bridges eliminate unsightly gaps by suspending a replacement tooth or teeth between the teeth on either side of the space. These fixed (tooth supported) bridges have many advantages over removable dentures, including offering a more natural, esthetically pleasing replacement; easier maintenance; and the ability to chew a wider variety of foods without encountering discomfort. Patients are secure in knowing the replacement teeth are not going to move around or fall out during a conversation or a meal. Bridges are custom designed to match all proportions of your adjacent natural teeth.

Partial Dentures

A removable partial denture is used when there are still some natural teeth left. As with a bridge, the missing teeth are replaced by this type of denture using both the soft tissue ridge and teeth to hold them securely in place. This tooth replacement is removable by the patient daily, which makes cleaning easier.  Removable dentures are less costly than non-removable solutions and can be an interim solution for many patients who may later move on to dental implants. They can also serve as a long term solution because of health or economic considerations

Complete Dentures

A complete denture replaces all of the natural teeth in the upper jaw, lower jaw, or both, sitting on the soft gum tissue of the mouth that covers the jaw bones. Proper design of a denture and position of the teeth will help restore good speech and a natural, youthful appearance.  Well fitting dentures can be fitted to implants for even greater retention, fit, and feel.

Tooth Restorations and Enhancements

Tooth Whitening

Tooth whitening can be completed in a single one hour dental visit (Zoom procedure) or in the comfort of your home for 15 minutes per day with custom made trays for 1 to 2 weeks depending on shade desired and starting point. Dramatic color improvements make this a very popular procedure. Unlike many over-the-counter whitening products, our procedure is long lasting and results in significantly whiter teeth. With simple post-whitening care, your new smile will last for years.

Cosmetic Bonding

Cosmetic bonding is a conservative treatment to change or enhance the color, shape, and size of the teeth in the smile. Correcting discolored teeth, poorly shaped teeth, unwanted spacing or lengthening of the teeth can all be achieved in one visit. Beautiful results can be achieved in many cases with this restoration.

Dental Fillings

Composite resin or "white" fillings are used exclusively in our practice to fill back teeth. These types of fillings closely match the shade and shape of the tooth and are very natural in function and appearance. These fillings are adhered to the tooth with bonding agents that help eliminate sensitivity to temperature and foods. Old silver amalgam fillings and new cavities can be restored with these white fillings.

Crowns and Onlays

Crowns (also known as Caps) offer a long-term solution for any tooth which is badly decayed, has a large filling or is unsightly. Crowns may cover and replace all or part of a tooth and are used to restore them to a natural shape, color and size. This not only helps appearance, but can also save a tooth that might otherwise be lost.

Veneers

Veneers are thin, custom-made shells constructed of porcelain designed to cover the front surfaces of the teeth. Veneers are ideal for teeth that are too small, too big, or have uneven surfaces. Imperfections can include oddly shaped teeth, chipped teeth, crooked teeth, teeth with small holes in them, old fillings or an inappropriate sized tooth or teeth. They are also ideal for teeth that are discolored.

Clear Braces

We offer clear orthodontic treatments that move teeth imperceptively and enhance the esthetics of the smile while avoiding noticable orthodontic appliances. Some of these methods are named InvisalignTM and ClearCorrectTM.

Facial Esthetics

In addition to improving the smile, we offer BotoxR to soften lines and wrinkles around the eyes and forehead areas and JuvadermR and RestylaneR dermal fillers to subtly plump out lips, fill in depressions and deep creases, improve appearance of scars from acne or trauma and even out asymmetries of the face to make it appear more youthful and even.
